Chatzone was originally founded in December 1996 by triker who was an Austnet Administrator. In the early days of the network chatzone was managed by Austnet staff. Triker looked after the channel for a while, Austnet then had freedom run the channel for them. As the network grew, Austnet decided to hand over the channel to some of the operators (@) of chatzone. Oneyed, Vlad, and curve were chosen and shared the 200 (Founder) level of access. Vlad left later on, leaving Oneyed, and curve. As time passed, Oneyed also left. Curve was now the solo owner and continued as owner for some time. Later curve passed the channel over to Ukrose as she left to do other things. Ukrose had the channel for a time, then passed it onto Tiff, who remained the owner for a few years. We are now at the present day. Tiff passed the channel onto Chris who is the current owner of chatzone. Our channel has been going for 10 years and counting. |
